Project: Wheel Management
Designer: Matt Fajkus, AIA

The Wheel Management design by Fajkus, a theoretical urban proposal on the site where the Boston Square Garden once existed, was published in the Japanese architectural journal Kenchiku Bunka. The text description reads, "Reading of the city as a series of sectional landscapes for manipulation. Obstacle determines pattern. Use of public transportation (city wheels) between monuments of freedom on the wheels of the skateboard. Skateboard used as an instrument to intimately engage surfaces in the city. Skateboarders carve and sculpt the city by "grinding" and eroding edge surfaces."
