Title: Marking the Land
Author: Matt Fajkus, AIA

This article by Fajkus analyzes UT's Landmarks Sculpture program through reading of architecture and sculpture. The article begins, "Modernist sculptor Constantin Brancusi famously said, “Architecture is inhabited sculpture.” That raises the question: Is sculpture uninhabitable architecture? At the very least, his phrase draws a direct comparison between the two disciplines and invites speculation about the inherent relationship between sculpture, architecture, and the open spaces between."
